Day 17 has finally arrived!!  Are you totally sick of seeing my eggs and vegetable hash?  I have had fun sharing all of my meals with you and I now have even more respect for bloggers that do that every single day of the year…but I do feel that it gets a bit repetitive and boring (for you and me).  Moving forward, I think I will start sharing more meals with you than I did before, but not every single meal or snack (i doubt you really care about seeing my handful of peanuts). I hope everyone’s week is going well.  We have had quite a change in weather in Charlotte.  Last weekend it was in the mid 70s and I went running in shorts and a tee shirt.  Now its cold and rainy and there is a chance of snow tonight.  That’s Charlotte for you, hot and sunny one second and snowing the next. My Tuesday turned into a really good day because my January Birchbox arrived!!  If you haven’t heard of Birchbox, it is basically an online beauty store (similar to Sephora or Ulta) that offers a monthly box of samples for $10/month.  You can learn more or sign-up HERE.  I love trying new beauty products and I have been so happy with my first 2 boxes.  You usually get sample sizes of the products but sometimes they throw in a full size (last month i got a full size tube of lip gloss).  If you like trying out new products or just...

17-Day Diet: Day 12

We had another beautiful day today.  I took full advantage of the warm weather and spent lots of time outside.  It is so much nicer to workout outside when it’s warm out.  I roasted a chicken for dinner and even though it took longer than I had anticipated, it turned out really good and I have chicken to use for a few more meals. It was so nice and warm in Charlotte today!!  The day started off very cloudy, so I was a bit worried the day would be a bust, but the fog eventually burned off and it turned into a beautiful day.  We went on a nice long walk with Simon and then I spent some time on our front porch reading. 17-Day Diet: Day 10

Happy Friday!! I hope everyone had a great week.  Today marks the 10th day on the diet.  I’m happy to report I am still feeling pretty good with everything.   Charlotte is supposed to be in the 70s tomorrow so I am hoping to spend some quality time outside!!  I think I see a nice long walk in our future. Happy Hump Day!  I hope everyone’s having a good week.  We had a wonderful meal out tonight at McCormick & Schmicks for my father-in-law’s birthday.  I mostly stuck with my diet but I did splurge and have a few bites of dessert…totally worth it!!
