17-Day Diet: Day 17

Jan 19

Day 17 has finally arrived!!  Are you totally sick of seeing my eggs and vegetable hash?  I have had fun sharing all of my meals with you and I now have even more respect for bloggers that do that every single day of the year…but I do feel that it gets a bit repetitive and boring (for you and me).  Moving forward, I think I will start sharing more meals with you than I did before, but not every single meal or snack (i doubt you really care about seeing my handful of peanuts).

Now for the important stuff!  At the end of my 17 days, I have lost a total of 4 lbs.  Not a huge loss, but I feel like I am losing weight at a nice pace (most diets and doctors recommend aiming for losing 1-2 lbs a week in order to keep it off long term), so hopefully I can lose a couple more pounds before the end of the month.  Instead of moving on to Cycle 2 of the 17-day diet, I have decided to stay on Cycle 1 for the next 2 weeks.  When I get back from my cruise I plan on starting  Cycle 2 (similar eating plan but you add 2 healthy/natural starches).

I have been very happy with the 17-day diet and would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to lose a little weight.  As I mentioned when I started, I did not follow all of the rules to a T, but used it as a good general guideline to clean up my eating.

So, here you go, day 17…
